Jerry C. Olson, P.L.S., P.E.

Jerry Olson, president, founded OEI in 1968. Prior to starting a private practice he was employed as an engineer with the Washington Department of Natural Resources. He earned his master's degree in Forest Engineering at Oregon State University and is a licensed Land Surveyor, Engineer and Certified Forester. Jerry is responsible for establishing standards and procedures at OEI.

Jerry is active in many professional organizations. He is a Member Emeritus and has held leadership positions in both the Washington State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, and the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. He is a Fellow of the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping. Jerry was named Surveyor of the Year by the Land Surveyors Association of Washington and has chaired several committees in that organization.

He also is actively involved in local and regional business and community organizations. Jerry is a charter board member of the Clark County Responsible Growth Forum and has served on several task forces for that organization and the Columbia River Economic Development Council. He has been a board member of the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Clark County and received the State and Local Government Affairs Recognition Award from the National Association of Home Builders.

He is the author the book Surveying North of the River, the reference handbook, The First Land Surveyors of Washington, and edited the book, David D. Clarke 1864 - 1920, Narratives of a Surveyor and Engineer in the Pacific Northwest.

Kurt F. Stonex, P.L.S., P.E.

Kurt Stonex has been with OEI since 1984 and was named a principal in 1993. He is a licensed Land Surveyor and Engineer and a Forest Engineering graduate of Oregon State University. Kurt is experienced in managing complex, multi-discipline projects.

He is responsible for OEI project management, including identifying scope of work, planning schedules and budgets, and representing the client's best interests.

He is involved in local and regional business and community organizations including the Metropolitan Home Builders Association and the City of Vancouver Project Review Committee. Kurt has served in leadership positions for the Land Surveyors Association of Washington. He is active in the Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon and is a member of the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping and the American Society of Professional Engineers.

Peter Tuck, P.E.

Peter Tuck, P.E. joined Olson Engineering in 1994 and became a principal in the firm in 2007. A native of Australia, Peter received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland. As Principal, Peter provides complete engineering management for OEI. He is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all project production and administration. Peter's expertise allows him the ability to determine the scope of work and organize all aspects of design for roads and streets, storm drainage, sewage and water schemes in urban and rural developments. As a liaison, Peter represents the best interest of the client to public and governmental agencies as well as to consultants and the in-house design team.

Peter is a licensed Professional Engineer in Washington, Oregon and Idaho and is actively involved with numerous organizations including the American Society of Civil Engineers and the local Building Industry Association (BIA). He was part of a team that developed a white paper covering infiltration design in Clark County and, over the past 15 years, has been involved in all of the code re-writes for stormwater and erosion control. Peter's project experience includes the Bowyer Marketplace, Clark County Amphitheater, Hazel Dell Towne Center, Battle Ground City Water System and Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital.

Chris Wonderly, P.E.

Since joining OEI in 1994 and becoming principal in 2007, Chris Wonderly, P.E. has been responsible for supervising and overseeing the design work for a variety of projects including roads and streets, stormwater, sanitary sewers, and water. Chris earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a Masters in Civil Engineering from Portland State University. His project experience includes managing the City of Camas' 20th street sewer upsize, Eastside Spectrum, RS Medical, Southview Heights and Ironwood Estates.

Chris is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE) and has participated as a member of Hazel Dell's Specification Review Committee.
